ABOUT ENSO

Enso has adopted a minimalistic and cellular approach rooted in non-musical elements (linguistic and phonological aspects of different dialects, rural and industrial beats) to create its music.
More often than not, a phrase and a recurring theme is central in most of the pieces which develops coherently with the magic of repetition, continuation, rhythmical and metrical changes, creating a cycloidal atmosphere musically.
Enso’s core concept revolves around modularity which translates into small musical components and end up as a piece. Although Enso’s music emphasizes on not being ritualistic, it prides itself on concentration, spontaneity and homogeneity.
Enso was formed in 2016. Its current members include Houman Sanayi (guitar and synthesizer), Mohammad Tabakhian(percussion), Kiarash Radmehr(bass), Saman Saghafian(guitar), and Farid Farzianpour(drums). Band’s debut album entitled “Orbiton” was released by Hermes Records and considered to be the first album which was recorded and produced for vinyl release after revolution.
The band has held numerous concerts in Tehran and presently is working on its second album.
